Pissed Off Robot Hip-Hop Audio Beef Today. Sween, Atypical and Dez let us know just how unpleasant it is to be a robot.

Staying with our robot theme, here's a friendly track from Albany, NY rapper Sween. I don't know too much about Sween except that he seems to like the word "bitch" a lot and has a really lousy web-page. Not only does it require you to "scroll yo ass to the right" in order to see any actual content, it doesn't provide any way to actually.. you know.. BUY his music. The giant graphic on the front page says the album "should" be available from the website. I agree, it certainly "should" be available.. but it isn't. There isn't even an email address, so I guess if you want to buy it you should post on his web forum or something.
The beat on this track is produced by Atypical (who also contributes a verse) and has some interesting moments. The robot-themed rhymes sound a bit like Eminem's early records. You know, shocking stuff ('It's not sex / It's psycho-vaginal surgery!') that will make you giggle if you can manage to suspend disbelief long enough to take it seriously. No matter what you think of the track, you have to admit that Sween, Atypical and Dez sure are some angry pimp robots! GRRR... BEEP! BZZZZZT!
(Albany must have some mean streets, because the rest of Sween's Face Punch Music is similarly rugged. Or maybe they're just underground rappers who have more in common with the Insane Clown Posee then Grandmaster Flash. I mean, we have Necro and Mr. Hyde.. do we really need more horror-core? There's some funny bits, but the album has 22 tracks by 8 different producers. That strikes me as the very definition of unfocused creativity. Sween obviously has a lot of passion; unfortunately he seems to lack any sort of restraint. If you like what you hear, you can check a few other tracks from Face Punch Music at his wack-ass website.)

not sure if you were confused to i misread you, but my verse is verse 2. ya quoted a dez line right after ya mentioned the fact i contributed a verse.
the purpose of the song was to illustrate what might happen if we are not responsible with the advancement and use of technology. its purpose was also to pick a topic that was outside of our nests a bit. exagerrated? of course. possible? definately. but, so much for trying to branch out creatively eh?
the concept of the song was basically to take our 3 personas and cram them into use as a machine. which, as you probably already know, was quite the creative stretch for the album overall.
regarding your "albany must have some mean streets" bit of sarcasm, followed by a cut on 'our' artistic integrity (see ICP vs GMFlash) is quite unfair to the scene and city as a whole (if that matters at all).
by making blanket, know-it-all remarks about a whole city based on 22 songs ONE artist released independently is a poor route to take. i'm sure you like to tuck in your little bits of wit for your audience here so they keep them coming back, but try not to make sweeping generalizations about a collective of artists more diverse than you care to investigate.
at least before you write a city off as ICP clones, maybe take a look at some of the other artists working independently in the area.

Wow.... i punched my cd into google to see whats up and this is what i fuckin come up with huh... A strange BLOG about my cd that was unaware to myself and also unwanted... i dont make music for you son... i make music for me... and I AM an asshole... and i come from the iron section of jersey... so the way i write and act makes me a product of my environment... THAT IS ME... i am violent... i am rugged... AND.. i will let you know that... i can also rhyme and write about rose pedals and puppy dogs if i wish... but i dont... that shit is what i consider art fag shit... i am close minded and onesided... i dont argue with people... this is me... thanks for your semi good review of one of my songs and on the other hand FUCK YOU for stereotyping and dissing something you dont know... but i guess any promotion is good promotion... my cd is frustrating huh...lol... go listen to atmosphere then...
